Choosing the right car audio system
Music in heavy traffic can calm your nerves or distract you enough to cause an accident, but most drivers can't do without an audio system. Some like it loud, some like it thin, but whatever your style, there are plenty of products to choose from and ways to customize your car's audio system.
Think, prioritize, eliminate, decide
First things first. Do you need an absolutely perfect audio system or will you be satisfied with an old system? Do you play your music on CDs, mp3 players, SD cards or a basic CD/radio combo? Do you need Bluetooth phone connectivity, a navigation system and video playback? Should your audio system blow the roof off your neighbors or just be good enough?
Get information
Getting a loud audio system isn't the brightest thing to do, as too much vibration can loosen the panels in your car. Consult your owner's manual for information on the size of the audio unit holder, panels for installing speakers, electrical systems, sound dampening, etc., and what type of audio system is appropriate for your car.
